Cycle and cruise the Lycian Coast between Marmaris
and Fethiye
There are few coastlines which offer the appealing combination of sublime
landscapes, rich cultural history and legacies from ancient civilisations
found on Turkey's Lycian Coast. We spend a week discovering the coastline
and backcountry between Marmaris and Fethiye with our two‑masted motor
yacht. Our charming and stylish vessel is built to the highest of standards.
Accompanied by our guide you will discover the unique natural wonders and
historical cities which grace the area. Admire the famous tombs of Dalyan,
which were cut into the cliffs between 4 and 2 BC by the Lycian coastal
inhabitants, and the spectacular Saklikent Canyon. Spend your evenings
relaxing on board in the deserted bays or make the most of the nightlife in
the port cities and their many cafes and bars.
ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Arrive Dalaman airport, transfer to Marmaris and
board boat 2 | Morning cruise then cycle to the quiet bay of Sarsala (35km)
3 | Cruise to Gemiler, cycle to the abandoned Greek town of Kayakoy,
and on to Fethiye (32km) 4 | Cycle to Kemer via the Sakklikent Canyon,
afternoon cruise to Göcek (40km) 5 | Cycle over a high pass to Dalyan, see
the Lycian tombs and the Dalyan Delta (40km) 6 | Visit the ancient city of
Kaunos and cycle to Ekincik (32km) 7 | By boat to the Bozborun peninsula,
cycle to Marmaris (55km) 8 | Trip concludes in Marmaris

A self guided walk along Turkey's stunning Lycian Coast
Between Fethiye and Antalya along Southern Turkey's Tekke Peninsula,
or Lycia as it is historically known, is one of the country's first waymarked
trails, the 509km Lycian Way. This mountainous route encompasses
spectacular coastal views, archaeological treasures dating back to
the 8th Century BC and interesting villages with their unique Lycian
flavour. During a series of day walks it is possible to discover sections
of the route with well preserved Greek and Roman cities and a Lycian
necropolis lost in vegetation. Traverse rugged mountain trails to meet
the gracious local people, sample culinary specialties and swim in the
blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Arrive Antalya 2 | Transfer to Camyuva, walk to the
ancient city of Phaselis and Tekirova (2hrs) 3 | To Cirali along the turquoise
coast (7-8hrs) 4 | Circuit walk to Chimaera and return to Cirali (4hrs)
5 | Ascend Musa Dag (Moses Mountain) and continue to Adrasan village
(8hrs) 6 | Walk to Cape Gelidonia and Karaoz, transfer to Adrasan (7-8hrs)
7 | Local bus to Antalya 8 | Transfer to airport, trip concludes
