Iceland’s distinctive volcanic landscape offers the perfect backdrop
for day walks in the company of an expert guide. The extensive lava
fields, huge moss‑filled volcanic craters, serene fjords and trails that
lead into the heart of the renowned Skaftafell National Park are part
of this carefully devised itinerary. Each day will reveal new scenery and
activities will include a glacier walk , visits to historical sights and even
an opportunity to bathe in steaming hot springs. The series of day walks
are fully supported ensuring rewarding days on the trail while our nights
are spent in a comfortable hotel in easy reach of southern Iceland's most
inspiring locations.
ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Join Reykjavik, drive via the Great Geysir
geothermal area to our base for the trip (2-3hrs) 2 | Skaftafell National
Park (4-5hrs) 3 | Volcano Laki #(2-3hrs) 4 | Transfer to Jökulsárlón Lagoon
(backdrop for "Die Another Day"), walk to view icebergs and afternoon walk
to the foot of the Öræfajökull Glacier (4-5hrs) 5 | Return to Reykjavik via the
village of Vík and a walk over the geothermal area of Reykjadalur (3-4hrs)

Island hopping by bike in the Turku Archipelago in Finland
The Turku archipelago is one of Finland's most stunning natural phenomena
‑ 20,000 islands stretching out into the sea from the city of Turku in the
southwest part of the country. Cycling a circular route around the main
islands is made easy, and exciting by a system of local and free ferry
services. Experience the peaceful nature of meandering by bike around
rural Finland, the enchantment of the sea, the beauty of the inner islands,
wholesome Finnish cooking and picturesque harbour villages. Our cycling
tour starts in Turku, Finland's oldest city where you will enjoy a ride around
the historic city with its medieval castle, cathedral and riverside paths. Enjoy
the unique pleasure of hopping between the small islands off Finland's
southwest coast.
ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Arrive Turku 2 | Travel by bike and ferry to Kustavi
(68km) 3 | You will catch 5 ferries today visit Inio, Houtskar Island, then to
Korpoo (34km) 4 | Rest day or ferry to Nauvo, round cycle (31km) 5 | By ferry
to the mainland, cycle to Rymattyla and Naantali (57km) 6 | Cycle to Turku
(14km) 7 | Trip concludes
