of Montenegro
In the heart of the Balkans, the newly independent nation of Montenegro
has a wealth of historic treasures and stunning Adriatic coastline to explore.
Journeying to this intriguing country from Dubrovnik, the cycle begins in
the Bay of Kotor in the town of Herceg Novi, situated terrace‑like above the
bay. From the border with Croatia to the capital and beyond, the cycle route
explores quiet mountain and coastal roads to reach sandy beaches, the
birdlife rich Skutari Lake and historic pirate hideouts. Plenty of time is set
aside to explore the interesting towns of Budva, Kotor and Cetinje en route,
to take a swim in the sea or relax at the many viewpoints.
Montenegro Cycle
ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Arrive Dubrovnik, transfer by bus to Montenegro
and warm up cycle in Herceg Novi (10km) 2 | Cycle the Bay of Kotor to
Budva (50km) 3 | Transfer to Cetinje, cycle to Virpazar and visit Skutari Lake
(60km) 4 | Transfer to Lovcen and a spectacular downhill ride to the Bay of
Kotor (52km ) 5 | Transfer to Dubrovnik, trip concludes

Countless islands in crystal clear water, deeply fissured cliffs, picturesque
beaches and numerous small bays are the typical features of Croatia's
stunning Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic. Spend a week discovering the
landscape and people of this unique island world by bike, independently and
with the aid of knowledgeable tour guides. Based on a comfortable motor
yacht, our floating accommodation, discover the charm of the Adriatic.
Cycle off after a hearty breakfast and meet the ship at a harbour for lunch.
In the evening the ship will be waiting in the next harbour, allowing you to
enjoy fantastic cuisine as the sun sets, followed by a stroll through a historic
harbour town. Flexibility is the key to this holiday, with the option to take a
day off cycling and spend time on board, swimming or wandering through
the alleyways of pretty port towns.

ITINERARY: DAY 1 | Arrive Omišalj, cruise to Cres 2 | The islands of Cres
and Lošinj (23km) 3 | The islands of Lošinj and Molat (20km + 10km) 4 | To
the 'spice' island of Dugi Otok (32km) 5 | Cycle on the island of Pag, then to
Rab Island (20km) 6 | Explore Rab by bike, cruise to Krk (25km) 7 | Cycle the
island of Krk and to Omišalj (45km) 8 | Trip concludes
