Trace the flow of the Rhine by bike on this epic journey from the Swiss Alps
to Basel, where the Rhine takes a sharp right on its journey to the North Sea.
The relaxed itinerary offers the flexibility to explore the gorges of the Grisons
on foot, cycle to wine‑growers villages to sample the local specialties, visit the Museum of Art in Liechtenstein,
climb up to a castle for a picture postcard view, and enjoy a boat ride at Europe's largest waterfall. The Grisons, or
Graubünden as it is referred to by the Swiss, is considered by many to be Switzerland's most beautiful region, with
its multitude of lakes, valleys and snow cappedmountain peaks. The Rhine River has its source here, connecting the
mountains to Lake Constance over 100km away. Travelling alongside the Rhine and Lake Constance, this diverse
cycle adventure from Switzerland passes through Liechtenstein and Austria before reaching Lake Constance in
Germany. It continues beyond the lake to the Rhine Falls, through picturesque towns and villages along the river to
the town of Basel situated on the Swiss/French border.

Rhaeto-Romanic Alpen Way (60km)

Cycle from Chur to Leichtenstein and on to Feldkirch (65km)

and train to the Swiss town of St Gallen (45km)

Cycle through the Swiss canton of Thurgau to Constance
in Germany (45km)
