Walk the spiritually
connected Camino Portugués
from Lisbon to Coimbra
Considered the most spiritually connected pilgrimage route, following
the path St James' body took to its resting place at the site of Santiago
de Compostela, the Portuguese path offers a wealth of history. This
route also offers a quieter alternative and some fascinating towns and
scenery. The route is broken up into four sections. You can choose to
start from the vibrant capital city of Lisbon and walk to world heritage
listed Coimbra, or wonder through vineyards, woodlands and villages
between Coimbra and Porto. Sample the port in Porto and then travel
by from to the border with Spain, with the option to continue onwards
to Santiago de Compostela from Tui.
