A guided walk along the last stages of the Compostela Trail
to the tomb of St James in Santiago
The last six days of the Camino de Santiago offers the chance for time
starved travellers towalk the final 115kms into Santiago and gain awonderful
appreciation of the historic significance of the route. Walking through mixed
landscapes in the company of your guide and group, there are numerous
reminders of the pilgrims past who travelled the route including crosses,
statues and grain silos. Thanks to your guide, the history of the trail will be
shared with you to ensure that you soak in as much as you can during your
short time on the trail. One of the many highlights is reaching the gates of
Galicia which lead on to the fabled Santiago de Compostela with its famous
cathedral, site of the tomb of St James.

A guidedwalk along the best sections of the Camino across
northern Spain
The Camino de Santiago, or Compostela Trail, has for centuries represented
an important pilgrimage route from France, across the Pyrenees and the
north of Spain to the tomb of St James in Santiago de Compostela. Following
the most interesting sections from Roncesvalles in Spain through famous
pilgrimage cities such as Leon and Pamplona, the landscapes change daily
from mountain trails to forests and open plains. With the camaraderie of a
small group and local guide, the trip is fully supported throughout. At night
stay in atmospheric towns in a selection of hand picked hotels where the
local flavours are introduced by your hosts.
ITINERARY: DAY 1 |
Arrive Bilbao, transfer to Roncesvalles

walk to Zubiri (3hrs), transfer to Pamplona

Camino walk including
Puente la Reina (3-4hrs), transfer to Logroño

Walk via Laguardia to
Santo Domingo and from Montes de Oca to San Juan de Ortega (3-4hrs),

Walk from Castrojeriz to Frómista (4hrs) and transfer
to Sahagún

Walk along the Castile landscape (3hrs) and transfer to León.

Walk from Hospital de Órbigo to Astorga (3 hrs)
