A technical mountain bike ride around Mont Blanc
Beginning in Chamonix, France, we ride in a clockwise direction, passing
through the Martigny Valley in Switzerland, to Courmayeur, Italy, and back
to Chamonix. Along the way we enjoy breathtaking alpine scenery as we ride
a mix of terrains from easy to technical single tracks and cruisy two path
trails. We pass through flowering alpine pastures, glacial lakes, deep valleys
and high altitude passes, all under the backdrop of the famous snowy
peaks of the European alps and the centerpiece, Mont Blanc. If you are an
experienced mountain biker not afraid of long climbs or carrying your bike,
then this is a great option.

A classic glacier walk in the European Alps combined with
an ascent of Mont Blanc (4810m)
One of the greatest alpine journeys, the Haute Route, stretches from
Chamonix in the French Alps to Zermatt, in the Swiss Alps. On this tour we
venture off the main trails into the heart of the alps, trekking across glaciers
with magnificent mountain backdrops such as the Matterhorn. During the
Haute Route Traverse, we not only learn basic mountaineering skills but
most importantly we are well acclimatised before attempting our climb on
Mont Blanc. To join this expedition you will need a very good level of fitness
with good walking and scrambling experience. Previous mountaineering
is an advantage, however not essential and this compact itinerary should
more than satisfy all aspiring mountaineers.
