rewarding holiday, so please review our trip grading system
below to help you select a tour that’s best suited to your
abilities and tness levels. Also, be sure to read our detailed
trip notes (available online) which outline the terrain
speci c to the trip, tness preparation suggestions and
provide extra information on self guided departures.
If you have any questions regarding our trip gradings –
or your tness – please contact us. The grading descriptions
that follow do not relate to theWorld Expeditions trips

SMALL GROUP OR SELF GUIDED?
We’ve developed a range of travel styles to ensure you
can explore Europe exactly the way you want.

Got a good sense of direction? Trips in mountainous
terrain require previous outdoor experience, contour map
reading and basic orientation skills. We’ll provide you with
detailed maps, directions and seven day local support as
well as handle all the necessary trip logistics, like booking
your hotels and luggage transfers. Many self guided tours
have daily departures.
Your multi-lingual local guide will work tirelessly to make
sure your holiday runs smoothly Enjoy the benefits of an
experienced local guide, whose passion is to bring to life
the flora, fauna and history of the region, and join
the company of kindred spirits on a Guided Small Group
trip. Depending on the chosen trip, group sizes generally
vary from 6 to 22 people, and somewhat larger on boat
based departures.

bike options, accommodations, routes, ages and more
can becatered for on Family Friendly marked trips.
All tours are priced on a twin share basis. Single travellers
will be paired up with a person of the same sex where possible.
If you wish, you can guarantee a single room by purchasing a
single supplement. For your safety, not all of our Self Guided
tours are available to single travellers.
